What does Emily do?

Emily embraces a holistic approach to support the unique needs of each child. Her practice is deeply rooted in neurodiversity affirming, trauma- informed, and attachment-based principles, ensuring that every child feels understood and valued. She uses a blend of ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and creative play therapy techniques to create a nurturing, playful environment where children can express themselves freely and develop at their own pace. Emily’s child-centered, developmentally appropriate approach is designed to empower children, helping them to build resilience, process emotions, and strengthen their relationships. By integrating expressive modalities with a focus on individual needs, she aims to provide a therapeutic experience that is both engaging and transformative.

Emily brings a wealth of knowledge to sessions, along with her warm, calm, welcoming and compassionate self. Parent information sessions provide us productive feedback of therapy sessions, allowing us to implement at home messages/strategies explored in sessions.
